Part I
Consumption of colour
Colour can shape how we experience a landscape. However, the brevity of its existence should be noted, and its dependency on the weather and the seasons. This diagram focuses on how colour guides the body through the expansive site of Terra Nova and its rich abundance of different tones. The framing of the photographs blurs the line between perception and abstraction, in distinguishing what one sees versus what one knows. By carefully curating 100 images taken from the site and displayed across a horizon, one is invited to observe each photo as an individual entity or step back to observe a cohesive gradient of colour.
